I
was born on September 27, 1968 in the capital of Jordan, Amman. My father,
Abdalla Khater, is a pensioner. He worked in the Ministry of Labor. Previously
he was engaged in olive oil production on his own land.
My mother, Muyasar Khater, is a housewife. All the
time she helped my father in oil production. When I was 6 years old
I went to the first form of the private school with profound studying
English and French. Since my being 10 years old I had a big home library. My
numerous friends came to me to lend books, so had to write down their names
and the titles of the books they took as in the common library. I studied
very well, and was the assistant of the librarian and the editor of the
school newspaper. It was the time when I felt strong wish to become a
journalist. I wrote articles for the school newspaper, and sent my articles
to the city weekly newspapers of Amman.
In the age of 18 I finished school and tried to
enter the Department of Journalism of the University. The competition was
very serious, and I failed to enter. That is why I studied the university
courses of Journalism, Public Relations and Public Opinion Poll and have
got the appropriate certificates. Later on I worked as a manager of public
relations and at the same time wrote articles for newspapers and magazines.
In that period I and my friends started the children’s newspaper “A Little
Writer” – the second one in the Arabic world having been very popular,
especially in schools. Two years before my coming to Ukraine I worked as a
manager and administrator of the information center aiming at establishing
contacts with the Ukrainian universities.
In 1996 I came to the town of Alchevsk, in Lugansk
region. There I entered the Department of economics of the Donbass Mining
and Metallurgical Institute.
In 2000 I transferred to the third course of the
Donetsk National Technical University, the specialty of “Economical
Cybernetics”. This specialty I choose because of its connection with
informatics, being my work. At the same time I entered the Department of
additional professions of the Donetsk National University, the specialty
“Journalism of sources of mass information”. In 2002 I have got a diploma
of a specialist – TV and radio reporter.
During the passed student years I learned much
about informatics, economics, journalism. I found many new friends, with
whom it is interesting to communicate.
The topic of my Master’s work touched upon the
defense of information in the Internet. This problem is always urgent, as
it has arisen at the very moment of appearing of information itself as a
product. According to statistic data the IT market lacks about 3 million of
professionals of information defense only in Arabic countries. The
importance of providing confidentiality of information grows according to
the growth of the price of information. The ways of defense of information
from the unsanctioned usage of it will develop in the process of
development of computer technologies and the Internet itself. Any
professional, especially of my profile, should know about them. I consider,
that my work at the diploma will give me the necessary knowledge and
practical skills for successful work and provision of information defense
in electronic commerce. I choose Gubenko N.Y. as my supervisor because her
being a well-known professional in information defense. She has a very big
experience in the field. In the future I plan to proceed studying as a
post-graduate student in Kiev or in Moscow.
